Job summary

A global biopharmaceutical company in Slough is seeking a Head of HTA & HEOR to develop strategies for optimal reimbursement and market access. You will generate evidence for product value and collaborate with teams to ensure effective project management of HTA submissions. The ideal candidate will have a Health Economics degree and significant experience in HTA processes and market access. This role supports a hybrid working model with a focus on collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of medical science in relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Experience in Patient Access and P&R for orphan drugs is beneficial.

About the role
  • Develop HTA strategies: Leads development & implementation of tailored HTA strategies to secure optimal reimbursement and market access across the UK & Ireland.
  • Demonstrate product value: Generate evidence showcasing the value of UCB’s portfolio, aligned with UK & Ireland payer and HTA requirements.
  • Collaborate globally and regionally: Align with regional and global UCB teams to leverage best practices and optimize access outcomes for the UK & Ireland
Who you’ll work with

You will report into the Head of Market Access & External Engagement for the UK & Ireland

What you’ll do
  • Develops and drives pricing & reimbursement strategy within the area for UCB´s products.
  • Support National Access leads in preparing HTA submissions, ensuring alignment with local requirements.
  • Ensure effective project management and delivery of HTA submissions, such that timelines are met and that the quality is consistently high.
  • Integrate HEOR insights to demonstrate clinical and economic value in access strategies.
  • Seeks collaborations and partnerships related to registries/RWE to build knowledge, and generate data and evidence supporting UCB´s access strategy and clinical-economic value of the assets
  • Develop a high performing team of National Market Access (HTA) leads taking responsibility for recruitment, succession planning, onboarding and development/ training plans.
Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills
  • Higher education degree in Health Economics
  • Deep understanding of the HTA processes with proven track record in these fields
  • Solid understanding of medical science related to the above therapeutic areas
  • Experience from Patient Access and P&R for orphan drugs is highly beneficial
  • Track record of the provision of payer evidence, i.e. strategy, market access, HTA evaluation process, value propositions and pricing
  • Good understanding of functionality and relationships in the health care systems of UK & Ireland
