  • Set clear priorities and direction across facilities, engineering and compliance, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery.
  • Influence senior leaders to embed a proactive safety and compliance culture.
  • Stay ahead of legislation and trends, ensuring Hallmark remains compliant and competitive.
  • Represent Hallmark externally with regulators, auditors and industry bodies.
  • Champion safe, inclusive working environments that support wellbeing and engagement.
  • Support training and communication to build a safety-first mindset across the business.
  • Act as escalation point for complex incidents, investigations and regulatory issues.
Qualifications and Experience

  • Chartered IOSH membership (or working towards) - essential
  • IEMA (or equivalent) environmental qualification - essential
  • ISO Lead Auditor - desirable

  • Strong working knowledge of ISO standards (14001, 45001, FSC, SEDEX) - essential
  • Experience in audit, compliance and ethical sourcing, corporate social responsibility and licensing compliance - essential
  • Knowledge of European HSE legislation - desirable
  • Your experience: Leading HSE and compliance across multi-site operations, including multiple discipled teams; Managing audits, certifications and regulatory relationships; Working in manufacturing, logistics or distribution (FMCG experience a bonus); Integrating HSE into business planning and change programmes
  • Your style: Strategic thinker with strong senior influence; Clear communicator and inspiring leader; Analytical, proactive and collaborative; Comfortable with ambiguity and driving change; Willing to travel (UK and potentially Europe)

This is a high-impact role with visibility, autonomy and the chance to shape how we work. If you're ready to lead with purpose and bring your expertise to a business that values safety, sustainability and ethical practice - we'd love to hear from you!
