A Local Authority Trading Company in Greater Lincolnshire is seeking a Head of Finance Delivery to oversee financial management for a District Council. The role includes leading finance teams, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with legislation. Ideal candidates will hold a CCAB qualification and have experience in Local Government Finance. The position offers a salary of around £67,000 and excellent benefits, including hybrid working arrangements.

You will have accountability to support the delivery of budgets and accounts for a District Council with a Housing Revenue Account, within the wider support network of your own Business partnering team and peer colleagues for other District/Boroughs.
As the Head of Finance Delivery, you will lead the SHDC Business partnering team, ensuring effective management of the Council's finances. Your strategic leadership will enhance decision-making, support financial planning, and ensure legislative and policy compliance. You will coordinate and deliver comprehensive financial management and advice, impacting our client Councils significantly. You will also collaborate with the wider Finance Senior Management Team to find departmental solutions.
We seek an experienced local government finance professional to lead accurate budget monitoring for revenue and capital, ensuring timely financial reporting. You will develop and implement financial controls and collaborate with statutory Section 151 officers to maintain robust financial management. Supporting budget managers through guidance and training is essential. Developing your team and promoting a positive culture within the finance team are key priorities.
