Job description

A rapidly expanding niche manufacturing business based in Leeds is offering a truly exceptional opportunity for a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) to step into a newly created Financial Controller role. This is a pivotal position within a thriving local success story, reporting directly to the CFO and offering outstanding career development prospects.

Backed by a retail-focused group with ambitious growth plans, the business is entering an exciting phase of expansion. As Financial Controller, you will lead the finance function and play a key role in shaping the financial strategy of the company. Your initial duties will include:

• Full ownership of the monthly management accounts, including P&L production and variance analysis.

• Collating financial data from your team and presenting detailed commentary for board reports.

• Liaising with senior stakeholders across the business to provide strategic insights and financial guidance.

• Attending quarterly board meetings alongside the CFO, with a view to representing finance independently in the future.

• Ensuring the business remains aligned with its growth forecasts and financial targets.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below experience:

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).

• Proven experience in a senior management accountant or financial accountant role.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence at all levels.

• Previous management experience is beneficial but not essential if you can demonstrate high potential and drive.
