Job summary

A consultancy firm is seeking a Head of Facilities Management to lead operational and financial management within a local authority in West London. This interim role offers a day rate of £500 Umbrella, combining office work with site inspections. The ideal candidate will guide a multi-disciplinary team and ensure compliance with statutory regulations. Emphasizing leadership, excellent communication skills, and contract management, this role aims to optimize facilities while ensuring high service standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in contract specification, management and negotiation.
• Preferably emanated from a time-served apprenticeship or formal operational Mechanical or Electrical background.
• Excellent financial management and report publishing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a strong FM provision for the Council, including cleaning, security, and general office support.
• Ensure adherence to FM budgets and report on any variances.
• Create an annual zero-based budget for the service.
