Job description
Overview

Join AXA - Global Healthcare as our Head of Enterprise Architecture on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract and lead the strategic evolution of our enterprise architecture landscape. In this pivotal role, you'll develop and own the architecture strategy and target state for AXA Global Healthcare and the Health Division's transversal functions, including finance, risk, and HR. You'll govern architectural standards, reference architectures, and solution designs, ensuring alignment with regulatory, security, privacy, and governance requirements. Collaborating closely with the CIO and key business leaders, you'll translate business strategies into actionable architecture roadmaps, prioritising initiatives and managing the architecture backlog across programmes. Leading and developing a dedicated team of enterprise and solution architects, you'll ensure architecture governance and risk controls are embedded across our IT landscape, supporting our regulated activities through security-by-design, privacy-by-design, data governance, and audit readiness. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We are also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

  • Manage and develop a team of enterprise and solution architects.
  • Implement architecture governance and risk controls across the IT landscape, including security, privacy, data governance, and audit compliance.
  • Proven track record as an enterprise or solution architect with strong governance expertise.
Qualifications
  • Domain knowledge in health insurance or regulated financial services, including claims, policy administration, and member data.
  • Deep understanding of information security, GDPR/data protection, and risk management, with experience in security-by-design and privacy-by-design controls.
  • Extensive experience with cloud and hybrid architecture, including APIs, event-driven integration, data sharing, and data architecture.
  • Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading Architecture Review Boards and engaging with senior executives.
  • Ability to mentor small architectural teams and communicate complex technical concepts effectively at all levels.
