At Liberatii, we're shaking up the $60B SQL database market, by building a SW layer that makes databases interchangeable. Our customers are enterprises who are desperate to migrate their mission-critical applications to more modern, affordable databases - without having to spend $millions per application to rewrite them. We just completed our first pilot with a production application, proving the technology can work.

We're looking for an exceptional Head of Engineering to help us go fast after this $60B opportunity as an early-mover in the space.

In this pivotal role, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Build and lead a small, fast-moving team creating one of the most disruptive products in the Database space
• Work closely with the CEO, CTO and early customers to align technical and business goals
• Establish practices to enable the team to consistently hit unreasonable deadlines, while maintaining high standards of quality
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence while embracing our core values

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• Experience leading a team of high-urgency software engineers
• Deep understanding of database internals, data structures, algorithms, and low-latency programming
• Experience solving a complex software challenge, such as building a compiler or a mission-critical distributed system
• An eye for spotting talented engineers - even early in their career
• An ability to explain complex technical concepts simply
