Job Description

As a key member of the Regional Design Leadership Team, the Head of Design Delivery for Wastewater will be accountable for time, cost, and quality of design production during the detail design phase and construction/commissioning support phase of our AMP8 Wastewater projects. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with extensive Design and Build experience in the Water Sector, with strong technical capability directing teams on constructability matters. The candidate will also have exceptional communication skills and a 'hands-on' approach to supporting our integrated Design and Delivery Teams, resolving design challenges encountered during the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of design managers and discipline design engineers through the detail design and construction/commissioning phases.
• Deliver safe and constructable design solutions within authorized budgets.
• Build collaborative relationships with clients, design teams, construction staff, and supply chain to promote buildability and efficiency.
• Ensure design solutions comply with CMDP+ governance procedures.
• Set and monitor design budgets, forecast costs, and control design changes for cost efficiency.
• Ensure delivery aligns with the Design Management Plan / Project Execution Plan.
• Report on progress and issues during Monthly Project Reviews.
• Coordinate internal and client site conformity inspections.
• Ensure timely delivery of project close-out documentation, including As-Built drawings.
• Participate in external networking and professional development to stay current with industry changes.

• Experience in technical project delivery within a design-build environment.
