Job: Head of Design and Technology

School: Secondary Academy, Lewisham, Southeast London

Salary: Enhanced MPS/UPS inner London + TLR

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Start date: April 2026 or sooner

Aston Education is working with an Ofsted Good 11-18 secondary academy looking for a Head of Design and Technology (DT). The school is based in Lewisham (inner London) and they are part of a respected medium size Multi‑Academy Trust.

We are looking for an innovative and creative individual who can lead a small Design and Technology team and inspire students on KS3 and grow the DT offering to KS4 and KS5. The school has excellent facilities and DT machinery.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Good honours degree in a Design and Technology subject

  • Proven track record of raising educational standards and achievement
  • Understanding how to analyse and use data effectively
