Overview

Head Chef role at Avery Healthcare in Kents Hill. Lead a culinary team to provide high-quality, nutritionally balanced meals for residents, including prepared modified diets, managing food orders and budgets, and supervising kitchen staff to maintain exceptional standards of care.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a culinary team to provide nutritionally balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality culinary service within budget.
  • Prepare modified diets that are appealing and well-balanced in accordance with IDDSI guidance.
  • Place food orders with approved suppliers, comply with procedures to maintain stock levels, and control procurement to meet budget limits.
  • Supervise and direct the work of kitchen staff and the Host team; instruct and demonstrate simple food preparation to unqualified staff.
  • Practice safe systems of work, assess risks, and ensure personal safety of residents, visitors, and staff.
