We have an exciting opportunity for anexperienced HCA who is looking to join a team that values innovation, teamworking and excellent patient care.

Main duties of the job

Candidates must haveexperience of working in a primary care setting, be familiar with S1 and haveexperience of a wide range of clinical skills including wound care, earirrigation and administering vaccines.

About us

Our current teamconsists of GPs, minor illness ANPs, Clinical Pharmacists and a full Nursingteam as well as extended PCN based roles.

We are an active teaching, trainingand research practice.

The Central Surgerycares for 7500 patients in the Oadby and Wigston area.

We are rated as Good bythe CQC.

Job responsibilities

Undertake, record and follow guidelines for the tasks forwhich you have received appropriate training.

Phlebotomy tasks and the accurate recording and handling ofsamples.

Taking patients blood pressure and monitoring accurately.

Dressings for post op/Chromic care, following localrecommendation and complying with infection control principles and practice.

Suture/ clip removal

Administer live vaccinations including Shingles, MMR, NasalFlu

Pre diabetic/CHD checks including diabetic foot checks

Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of clinical equipment

Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and data recording

Assisting the Lead Nurse with infection control processes

Clinical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation

Clearing and re-stocking clinical consulting rooms

Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patientshealth and well-being

Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and howit can be promoted

Assisting with thecollection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being
