Overview

Hazards Engineer or Senior Hazards Engineer required by a leading organisation delivering safety critical solutions within the nuclear and low carbon energy sectors. Location: Bristol, Epsom or Manchester (hybrid working available). Salary: £40,000 - £70,000. Type: Permanent.

Role responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of hazards safety cases and contribute to hazards assessments across multiple technical domains.
  • Interface with civil, process and other engineering disciplines to develop safe, resilient energy systems.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems such as meteorological hazards impacting the nuclear fleet.
  • Perform numerical analysis supporting fire, flooding and seismic hazard evaluations as part of the role.
  • Engage with a diverse client base including nuclear new build, fusion, small modular reactors, defence and generation projects; support project delivery and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders.
Team and development

Work within a multidisciplinary environment and collaborate with a global technical community. There are opportunities to mentor junior engineers and develop leadership capabilities in a supportive culture.
