Job summary

A growing engineering firm in Hinckley is seeking a CAD Engineer to support product development through high-quality 3D modelling and 2D drawings. This role offers a variety of tasks in both the office and workshop environments, allowing for hands-on involvement in engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks. The position includes a competitive salary, employer pension contribution, and generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SolidWorks or other CAD software.
• Experience in producing 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Strong understanding of engineering change processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce and update 3D models and 2D drawings for products.
• Support the Engineering Change Process with documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering on product improvements.

Skills

Proficient in CAD software – ideally SolidWorks

Experience producing 3D models and 2D technical drawings

Ability to create customer‑facing technical information

Understanding of engineering change processes

Comfortable working in both office and workshop environments

Background in mechanical engineering or similar technical field
