A leading NHS Trust in London is inviting applications for Hand and Wrist Fellow positions starting in 2026. The role involves managing a spectrum of hand and wrist surgery cases, including both elective and trauma. Candidates should possess MBBS or equivalent and MRCS, with a focus on developing skills in this specialist field while participating in teaching and research activities.
Job summary
Applications are invited for our Hand and Wrist Fellowship posts commencing: one post commencing 05/08/2026 and one post commencing 01/02/2027.
The Hand and Wrist Fellows are part of the multidisciplinary Hand Team within a busy, dynamic and friendly department. We encourage a learning environment, with regular MDT and specialist Radiology meetings and support for taking the BSSH Hand Surgery Diploma.
This post does not have specific Royal College or Postgraduate approval; however prospective Deanery approval can be sought. This post would suit a senior Orthopaedic or Plastic Surgery trainee who is developing an interest in hand and wrist surgery and would like further experience in this specialist field.
The successful candidates will be exposed to a broad spectrum of elective hand and wrist surgery. There will also be exposure to a large volume of hand and wrist trauma including soft tissue reconstruction and complex wrist cases.
