Overview

Requirement: H&S Manager (Secondment – 3 days per week)

Project Overview: A Health & Safety (H&S) Manager is required on a 3-day per week secondment basis to support a business operating in the warehousing and logistics sector.

The role will sit within an established HSE framework and will report into the organisation’s existing HSE Director. The H&S Manager will primarily oversee day-to-day health & safety activities, ensuring compliance, monitoring practices, and supporting continuous improvement.

The business may also have field engineers, with activities expected to include installation, fitting, or maintenance of electrical equipment at client sites. Oversight of associated risks and safe working practices will be part of the scope.

Responsibilities
  • Provide H&S management support on a part-time secondment basis (3 days per week).
  • Work within the organisation’s existing HSE systems and reporting structure.
  • Monitor, review, and support implementation of site H&S practices across warehousing, logistics, and field-based activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant UK health & safety legislation.
  • Provide guidance, oversight, and assurance to operational teams.
  • Liaise with the organisation’s HSE Director to ensure alignment with existing policies and frameworks.
