Job summary

A leading SHEQ consulting firm is looking for a Site based SHEQ Advisor to support their team at a flagship site in Bournemouth. Your responsibilities will include monitoring SHEQ practices and conducting audits as well as incident investigations. The ideal candidate will have experience within a civil engineering environment and hold a NEBOSH certification. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a challenging project and make a significant impact.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a civil engineering environment is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and review completion of corrective actions.
  • Organize and support SHEQ assurance audits.
  • Conduct accident/incident investigations.

Skills

Proven experience of working as part of a SHEQ team
Ability to interpret legislation and Approved codes of Practice
Ability to collect, analyse and evaluate large volumes of data

Education

NEBOSH certification
Job description

One of our clients is looking to strengthen their SHEQ team with a Site based SHEQ Advisor based at a flagship site in Bournemouth.

You will report directly to the Regional SHEQ Manager and your role will cover advising the SHEQ team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understanding the approach to managing SHEQ risk and delivering best in class performance.
  • Maintaining a dynamic and driven approach to supporting SHEQ across the company.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the closure / completion of corrective actions to ensure that they deliver clear improvements and have been suitably and effectively implemented.
  • Organising audits and supporting the delivery and execution of SHEQ assurance audits.
  • Conducting accident / incident investigations and / or supporting investigations conducted by the Head of SHEQ.
  • Exposure to the project management lifecycle of project delivery.
  • Highlighting opportunity for sustainable solutions.
So, what do you need?
  • Proven experience of working as part of a SHEQ team, ideally within a civil engineering environment
  • NEBOSH
  • Ability to interpret legislation and Approved codes of Practise
  • Ability to collect, analyse and evaluate large volumes of data whilst maintaining data integrity. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to put their stamp on a really interesting and challenging project
