Job description
Gynae-Oncology Cancer Nurse Specialist

The closing date is 04 January 2026

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Gynae-Oncology Cancer Nurse Specialist Team at UHD. The successful applicant will work alongside the current Gynae-oncology CNS Team based at Poole. There may be a need to work with the Gynae-oncology team on the Bournemouth site to help support the patient pathway across both our areas to work towards developing a UHD Gynae-Oncology Cancer CNS Service.

The post holder will work within the team to deliver high-quality, patient centred care to individuals with or at risk of gynaecological cancers. A key focus of this role is the identification, support and ongoing management of patients and families affected by Lynch syndrome, ensuring timely risk assessment, surveillance, education and coordination of care across the cancer pathway.

It will work closely with members of the Gynaecology Cancer Multidisciplinary Team, Primary and Tertiary Care as well as being able to work autonomously.

We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse who is keen to make a difference in the care of those experiencing a life changing diagnosis. As there is a significant Gynae/Oncology component to the post, previous experience in these areas is desirable. More important in this role is a nurse who is highly organised, motivated to learn, with excellent communication and team working skills.
