Groups and Events Manager, Event Sales

We’re looking for a Groups and Events Manager to join our Event Sales team.

As a Groups and Events Manager at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, we expect from you:

Responsibilities
  • To plan, coordinate, and execute luxury events and small groups, from high-profile corporate functions to bespoke social gatherings, ensuring flawless delivery and five-star standards.
  • To build and maintain strong relationships with clients and event partners, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations throughout the event journey.
  • To drive revenue and profitability through effective negotiation, upselling, and strategic event planning while safeguarding the hotel’s brand reputation.
  • To collaborate with culinary, event operations, sales, reservations and other operations teams, ensuring smooth communication and service excellence.
  • To oversee all event logistics with exceptional attention to detail and organisational skill, delivering memorable experiences that reflect Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service.
Candidate profile

As a Groups and Events Manager, you will be in an office-based role, working predominantly from Monday to Friday, with some weekend coverage required.

To be a successful candidate, you will be a proven professional with experience delivering seamless events in a five-star luxury hotel environment. You should be highly organized with strong attention to detail, combining flawless event execution with commercial acumen to create exceptional guest experiences while maximizing revenue opportunities.
