About The Role

If you love meeting new people and want to support individuals affected by dementia in your area, this volunteer role might be perfect for you!

As a Group Support Volunteer, you'll help and encourage people affected by dementia to participate in activities and socialize with others. You'll welcome attendees, engage in conversations to make them feel comfortable, offer refreshments, and assist with setting up and tidying after the sessions.

Your involvement will help people affected by dementia connect with others, access support and information, and enjoy meaningful activities.

Details of the Role

This role supports our Aap Ka Sahara Memory Cafe in Tameside, which meets monthly on the third Wednesday from 9.30am to 12.30pm at 103 Union Road, Ashton Under Lyne, OL6 8JN. Language skills in Gujarati, Hindi, or Urdu are desirable.
