A UK-based charitable organization seeks a Group Support Volunteer to assist people affected by dementia during group activities. Ideal candidates will have strong verbal communication skills, empathy, and a willingness to learn about dementia. This opportunity offers invaluable experience in supporting a critical cause within the community.

As a Group Support Volunteer, you’ll support and encourage people affected by dementia to engage in activities and socialise with others in a group setting. You’ll welcome and talk to people affected by dementia to help them feel comfortable, and you’ll help ensure refreshments are offered. You’ll also help set up and tidy away at the end of the group.
Your involvement will help people affected by dementia meet others in a similar situation, access the support and information they need, and enjoy meaningful activities.
We are looking for volunteers to support at our Musical Monday group. The group meets weekly on Mondays from 1.30-4pm at Merton Memory Hub, 67 Whitford Gardens, Mitcham, CR4 4AB.
