Job description

Premier Marinas invites applications for the role of Group Safety Advisor based at our Head Office in Swanwick Marina, Southampton.

Premier has well established Environmental and Health & Safety management systems and a positive track record of managing these key risks. As part of our desire to drive continuous improvement across all areas of its business, we are looking to recruit a Group Safety Advisor to support our marinas and boatyards across the group, working closely with the Head of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS).

Based primarily at our Swanwick Head Office; with regular travel to all Premier sites, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our safety culture.

As our Safety Advisor, you’ll join a committed team dedicated to ensuring safe operations, legislative compliance, and the continuous development of our working practices. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • They hold a minimum of TechIOSH certification and bring experience in health & safety, preferably within a practical, operational environment.
  • A proactive attitude with a solutions-focused, “can-do” approach.
  • The confidence to work independently and collaboratively with site teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Good IT skills with the ability to use and learn multiple systems.
  • A genuine interest in supporting safe, effective working environments.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a flexible work ethic to join a forward-thinking organisation. Marine experience is desirable but not essential - comprehensive training to support professional development will be provided.

The role involves a blend of office-based work, site visits, and practical engagement with teams across the estate. Some travel and occasional flexibility in working hours may be required to meet operational needs.

What we offer

Premier Marinas offers a competitive salary and pension, access to an online GP service, Private Medical Cover, free onsite parking, annual leave incl. additional birthday leave and other benefits, alongside training and development opportunities delivered through our dedicated online academy.

If you’re motivated by helping people work safely and contributing to a positive safety culture, we’d love to hear from you.
