Job description

Looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join a newly formed Venture Backed Group of companies in an exciting phase of change. This role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely group financial consolidations, supporting technical accounting and tax projects, and leading the implementation of automation processes and efficiencies. It also plays a key role in audit readiness and future exit preparation through well-maintained financial records and documentation.

This is a 12month FTC, starting ASAP

Offering £55,000 - £58,500 depending on the level of relevant experience

Hybrid working from the London office, 3-4 days in the office per week

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly group financial consolidation, including intercompany eliminations, FX translation, and producing consolidated reporting packs.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent regional financial submissions, resolving intercompany mismatches and improving close processes through standardisation and automation.
  • Manage the transition of entity accounting from third-party providers to in-house control, coordinating handovers and standardising procedures.
  • Support the implementation of internal ledger ownership across regions, embedding audit trails and addressing legacy accounting issues.
  • Assist in technical accounting and tax projects, acting as liaison with external advisors and coordinating data submissions and follow-ups.
  • Track progress on international tax and transfer pricing actions, maintaining technical memos and supporting policy implementation.
  • Contribute to the annual audit process, preparing reconciliations, responding to auditor queries, and ensuring up-to-date documentation.
  • Support statutory accounts preparation across group entities in coordination with regional finance teams and external auditors.
  • Maintain investor-ready financial records, ensuring clear reconciliations, backup documentation, and clean KPI reporting for due diligence.
  • Assist in preparing financial data rooms and pro forma adjustments for potential exit or funding events, ensuring structured and accessible data.
Requirements and Experience
  • ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of group consolidations, audit preparation, and management reporting
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams independently
