Group Finance Manager

Office-based with hybrid working!

We are excited to present a rare opportunity for a Group Finance Manager role that combines strategic influence with hands‑on leadership in driving business interaction and change.

Our client, a global manufacturing business based in Paisley, has created this new position to strengthen its finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding financial integrity and shaping the company’s strategic direction.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will lead initiatives to enhance financial controls, reporting, and risk management—empowering informed decision‑making across the group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Statutory Accounts & Audit: Lead the preparation of statutory accounts in compliance with FRS102 and coordinate the audit process. Ensure timely provision of audit schedules and supporting documentation to deliver audited accounts in line with the group timetable.
  • Tax Compliance & Planning: Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely submission of all tax returns in compliance with local and international regulations. Manage tax audits, resolve queries, and support tax planning initiatives to optimise the effective tax rate while minimising risk.
  • Group Consolidation: Oversee the completeness and accuracy of group consolidation processes, including elimination of inter‑company balances and transactions.
  • Systems & Controls: Ensure robust systems, processes, policies, and controls are in place to minimise financial risk.
  • Cash Flow Insights: Provide senior leadership with actionable insights and recommendations on cash flow trends and risks.
  • Compliance: Maintain adherence to internal policies, local statutory requirements, and group reporting standards.
About You
  • Fully qualified ICAS accountant with experience in a reporting role within industry.
  • Proven track record of leading process improvements and implementing change.
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive, can‑do attitude.
  • Comfortable working closely with operations teams to promote adherence to processes.
