Job description
Overview

Here at innocent, we're on a mission to make it easier for everyone to get more fruit and veg into their bodies. We started back in 1999 and since then we've grown from selling a few smoothies at a music festival to becoming one of Europe's biggest drinks companies with around 1,000 people and the B Corp seal of approval. We're focused on being a successful business while looking after people and the planet, and this job is part of that effort.

We're looking for someone to join us as Controls and ESG Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and owning the reporting and controls process of ESG information, including updating narratives and working with non-finance business partners.
  • Performing sample testing over the ESG information provided by the business, improving data collection, and submitting information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Performing testing over a sample of controls from different processes; providing support to control owners and reviewers through training and best-practice guidance to remediate ineffective controls while ensuring effective controls remain in place.
  • Running and iteratively developing the Control Self-Assessment process, providing monthly updates to the board on controls governance across the business.
  • Liaising with Coca-Cola controls teams to develop best-practice training, templates and knowledge to share internally with control owners.
  • Managing ad-hoc requests such as year-end submissions, Coca-Cola-specific submissions, and contract management.
What you'll have
  • Solid compliance knowledge within a robust framework with a passion for improvement and a keen eye for what good looks like.
  • Great communicator with a technical mindset who can convey messages simply to a range of audiences including our shareholder.
  • A keen eye for detail and a questioning mindset to identify and shore up processes.
  • A structured approach to workload, able to tackle multiple streams of work and improvements and distribute work sensibly to drive proactive management.
  • Willingness to get hands-on with tools and systems to simplify processes, integrate compliance, and make reporting easier.
  • An influential voice within finance and beyond, promoting and driving change.
What you'll get
  • Be a key part in establishing the future of innocent's compliance framework.
  • An exciting chance to collaborate with the business and our shareholders on this change.
  • Support and understanding of the wider business in improving understanding and execution of compliance requirements.

We want innocent to be a great place to work, so we do lots to make people feel at home and help everyone shape their career. There are plenty of opportunities to explore new things or take things further.

In exchange for helping us do business in the right way, you'll get a solid rewards package that includes a salary, private healthcare, a target-based bonus, and other benefits like a day off on your birthday. And yes, you get free smoothies.

We also know that not all our drinkers come from the same background, or think the same-so why should we? At innocent, we want to be a great place to work where a diverse group of people from all backgrounds can turn up and thrive. When we hire, we want all the juice, bits, and pulp that make you who you are.

Even if you don't think you can tick all the boxes, if the job sounds right for you, come and throw your hat in the ring. Probably best to get your skates on though, as we might close this early if we get lots of applications.
