Job description

Group Claims Manager - Professional Indemnity

Our client is a successful growing insurance business. The Group is expanding rapidly both through acquisitions and by employing outstanding individuals with a wealth of knowledge and experience across the insurance market.

The need has arisen to appoint a Group PI Claims Manager to manage notifications and claims arising from a major professional indemnity programme.

Key responsibilities include:

• Pro-active management of the notification & claims portfolio
• Pro-active management of individual claims to reach a positive outcome
• Application of excellent technical knowledge including applicable case law
• Collaborate internally and develop close working relationships with relevant stakeholders
• Engage and build relationships with their E&O broker partner and Insurer
• Ability to prepare and present claims data, for example claims experiences, MI playback and trends
• Monthly preparation, presentation and delivery of Claims Report
• Quarterly preparation, presentation and delivery of Audit, Risk and Compliance report
• To work as a team and fully participate in individual and shared project work
• To advocate and promote continuous claims management improvements

Experience Required:

• Strong technical claims handling and negotiation skills
• Previous professional indemnity claims experience essential
• Highly developed commercial and analytical skills
• Strong influencing skills and able to demonstrate forward thinking
• Effective organisational and prioritisation skills
• Legal background desirable but not essential
• Attained or working towards gaining their ACII qualifications
