Job description

Are you a qualified accountant looking to accelerate your career in a dynamic, growing business? This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Group Accountant to join a fast-paced organisation with clear progression opportunities, including a potential future path toward Group FC or CFO.

The Role

As part of a lean but high-performing Group Finance team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting, statutory compliance, and group consolidation. This role offers broad exposure to senior stakeholders, board-level reporting, M&A integration, and investor relations.

What You'll Do
  • Lead monthly group consolidation and reporting under IFRS & UK GAAP
  • Prepare management packs, board reports, lender updates, and flash reporting
  • Support half-year and year-end statutory accounts under IFRS
  • Partner with local finance teams to ensure quality and consistency of reporting
  • Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external advisors
  • Oversee subsidiary statutory accounts (UK GAAP - FRS 102)
  • Contribute to financial systems development and process improvements
  • Get involved in technical areas such as acquisitions, PPA, IFRS 16, share-based payments and put/call options
  • Support ESG-related financial reporting and disclosures
About You
  • ACA qualified (Big 4 or Top 10 training preferred)
  • 1-4 years' PQE, ideally with some industry experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS & UK GAAP
  • Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence across all levels
  • Commercially minded, resilient, and proactive
  • Ambitious and motivated to progress towards a senior finance leadership role
