Green Space Development Officer

We’re looking for a team player who enjoys working both in the office and outdoors and is committed to making sure Harpenden’s green spaces and public areas are at heir very best.

The future for Harpenden Town Council is very exciting with opportunities on the horizon for the acquisition of further open spaces and public realm assets and we want the successful applicant to share in our enthusiasm and passion to help develop and shape Harpenden’s environment and public realm into the future.

Our Public Realm and Environment team loves a challenge. They take care of our green spaces and vibrant town centre which brings lots of satisfaction because they really do make a huge difference to our community. If you are interested in this role, it’s important that you take pride in your work and you thrive on applying your knowledge of the countryside and management of habitats and species. You should be keen to engage and share your enthusiasm with the local community and volunteers and have an interest in encouraging people to spend time outdoors. If you’re passionate about preserving and managing green spaces for both the community and wildlife, you could be the person we’re looking for.
