Job description

Are you an experienced Graphics Mac Operator looking for your next opportunity in a fast-paced production environment? We are hiring for a well‑established manufacturer in the label and FMCG sector, offering a permanent role with great benefits and long‑term stability in Castleford.

Key responsibilities

• Downloading files from emails/FTP and logging them onto MIS systems
• Creating and processing artwork using Adobe Creative Suite and industry software
• Generating PDFs for customer approval
• Populating Esko Automation Engine and Cloudflow folders
• Ordering and releasing tooling as required
• Recording job history and processes within Filemaker
• Managing production priorities and studio workflow
• Supporting colour management across digital and hybrid print
• Liaising with production, technical, and wider teams
• Resolving pre‑press or press‑related issues
• Attending pre‑production meetings and calls
• Contributing to continuous improvement, R&D, and graphics process development

Candidate requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within a fast-moving label printing or FMCG environment
• Strong IT literacy with full proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Working knowledge of Esko Automation Engine, Esko DFE & Colour Pilot, Filemaker, and ideally Hybrid Solutions such as Packz and Cloudflow
• A comprehensive understanding of combination print reprographics and processes, including gravure, offset, flexo, screen, emboss, foiling, digital, and hybrid print
• Excellent organisational, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels, including customers and suppliers
• Experience working in a fast‑paced reprographics production studio environment
• Flexibility to support the team across conventional, digital, and hybrid areas during busy periods or for holiday cover
