Unlock Your Passions at Alder Veterinary Practices

We have two very well‑established surgeries in the Lincolnshire market towns of Spalding and Bourne, both of which have a loyal client base of well over 20 years.

We are situated close to the historic town of Stamford where you can visit Burghley House, Burghley Horse Trials, or Rutland Water, and Peterborough is approximately half an hour away with direct train lines into London.

We are a friendly and supportive team of 4 vets and 5 RVN’s, 1 SVN, as well as a fantastic support and administrative team. We pride ourselves on fostering a positive learning environment that encourages development, confidence, and independence at a steady pace.

Practice facilities and equipment include digital X‑ray, ultrasound machines, dental X‑ray, dentistry, Idexx in‑house bloods, and much more. We have good‑sized theatres and consult rooms for first‑opinion cases. We also work very closely with various referral practices to be able to offer that option if needed.

Enjoy a welcoming environment with structured support and flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

You will work 40 hours per week which will be split over 4 days per week, with one mid‑week day off. Fair participation in the weekend rota, Saturday morning 8.30am‑12pm. There will be no OOH meaning there is excellent work‑life balance.

Your primary mentor has a background in teaching RVNs and a calm, patient, and methodical approach to training, ensuring you feel supported in every aspect of your clinical and professional development, providing structured feedback and regular check‑ins.

You will be integrated and supported by the whole team, providing excellent opportunities for hands‑on learning and case discussions. Our team are passionate about sharing their knowledge and guiding colleagues through both medical work‑ups and surgical procedures. Our team are highly skilled and play an active role in supporting clinical cases, anaesthesia, and inpatient care.
