Overview

Job Title: Graduate Submarines Systems Engineer

Location: Barrow (Cumbria)

We offer relocation support packages for this role, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.

We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-5 days per week.

Salary: £34,000 + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the capture, definition, analysis and management of requirements.
  • Supporting system design, analysis, testing, optimisation and integration activities.
  • Building virtual models of systems and subsystems.
  • Using tools and software (e.g. Enterprise Architect, MATLAB, Simulink, JIRA) to support activities at different stages of a system's life cycle.
  • Supporting modelling and simulation activities.
  • Supporting system validation and verification activities (Did we build the right system, and did we build it in the right way?)

Qualification requirements

As a minimum requirement you'll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Maths or other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths) degree.
