The Role – Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant

As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Maths department by:

• Providing targeted support in Mathematics, both in-class and through small group or one-to-one sessions.
• Assisting with lesson planning and delivery, with opportunities to lead parts of lessons as your confidence develops.
• Helping students strengthen numeracy, problem-solving, and revision skills, especially for GCSE and A-Level exams.
• Creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters curiosity and academic success.
• Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams to ensure all students achieve their potential.

Who We’re Looking For – Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant

We welcome applications from graduates who are:

• Academically strong, with a 2:1 or above in Mathematics or a related field (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Economics).
• Confident in their subject knowledge and able to support KS3 and KS4 students (experience at KS5 is a bonus).
• Passionate about education and eager to start a career in teaching through this Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant role.
• Excellent communicators with a proactive, flexible, and professional approach.
• Previous experience working with young people (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is highly desirable but not essential.
