Job description

Role Overview

Join Travis Baker’s Geo-Environmental team based in Halesowen, West Midlands, UK, on a full-time, permanent basis. The team provides consultancy and design services to engineers, house-builders, developers, and local authorities. Key Responsibilities

  • Participating in a variety of geo-environmental projects for external clients and internal teams.
  • Assisting with ground investigations and desk studies.
  • Soil logging to current UK standards, including laboratory scheduling.
  • Interpreting factual site investigation data.
  • Writing factual and interpretative geo-environmental reports.
  • Supervising remediation and earthworks projects (training provided).
  • Developing project management skills alongside more experienced colleagues.
  • Travel to other offices and sites within the UK, as needed.

Qualifications And Experience

  • 2:1 or 1st class honours degree in geology, geophysics, mining geology, or geosciences; final-year students predicted to graduate in 2025 are welcome.
  • Clear communicator, outgoing, and a strong team player.
  • Comfortable with demanding site work and the technical interpretation and reporting of site data.
  • Motivated to work with one of the UK’s leading geoscience consultancy/contractor organisations.
