Overview

Graduate Web Developer

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Location: Northamptonshire (easily commutable from Northampton, Milton Keynes, Daventry, Wellingborough, Brackley, Banbury, and nearby areas)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

The Role

An award-winning and rapidly expanding technology company is seeking a Graduate Web Developer to join its growing development team. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in web development, working on WordPress-based projects while learning cutting-edge technologies in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Working Pattern
  • First 6 months: Office-based, 5 days per week (training, mentoring, and integration with the team)
  • After 6 months: Hybrid working - 2 days from home each week
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain customer websites with a strong focus on responsive, user-friendly design
  • Collaborate with the Web Team Leader and wider teams to deliver high-quality solutions from planning through to deployment
  • Implement new features and integrate APIs with backend services
  • Contribute to code reviews, problem-solving, and technical discussions to ensure best practice standards are met
What We're Looking For
  • Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and SCSS
  • Experience in WordPress development, including custom themes, post types, and functionality
  • Basic understanding of PHP and version control tools (e.g., Git)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with enthusiasm to learn and grow as part of a team
Desirable (not Essential)
  • Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, or deployment automation
