Salary: £26,000 - £27,000

They are currently searching for a driven, talented Graduate Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant who is willing to take on a variety of projects alongside an established team of professionals, based near the vibrant, modern market town of Basingstoke.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to projects across the public and private sectors, including residential, commercial, and retail developments, as well as renewable energy projects
• Produce technical documents, including Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) and Flood Estimation Reports
• Create Drainage Strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
• Use software such as MicroDrainage and AutoCAD to produce technical work

Required skills and experience

• A UK Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Geography or Environmental Science (or a similar, relevant discipline)
• Good knowledge of Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Drainage Design
• Proficient in the use of MicroDrainage and AutoCAD (as well as similar software systems)
• Basic knowledge of Hydraulic Modelling
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Good literacy and numeracy skills, particularly when applied to report writing
• A genuine interest in flood risk and drainage, and their importance in environmental and engineering projects

Desirable skills and experience

• Hold a full, valid UK Driving Licence
• A keen interest in climate change and its effects on water‑based environments
