Overview

Graduate Finance Analyst - Catering £28,000 - £30,000
Toddington - Hybrid - 2 days in the office
37.5 hours Monday - Friday


This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to start their career in Commercial Finance. As a Graduate Catering Analyst, you will support the Senior Commercial Catering Finance Manager and Brand Teams by providing data-driven insights and assisting in financial analysis to help improve sales and profitability. You will also receive training and hands-on experience to develop a solid understanding of the fundamentals of Commercial Finance, setting the foundation for a successful finance career.


This is a 3-year Finance Graduate Scheme designed to give you broad exposure across our Commercial Finance and wider business functions. You\'ll rotate through different teams to build core financial skills and gain a deep understanding of how finance supports strategic decision-making.


1st Rotation – Catering Finance Analyst


  • Learn and apply the basics of commercial finance, including profit and loss analysis, cost management, and sales performance reporting.

  • Assist in analysing sales performance by site and product category to identify trends and opportunities.

  • Support in evaluating the financial impact of trading initiatives such as promotions and pricing changes.

  • Work collaboratively with other finance analysts to understand the wider business.

  • Help ensure decision-making is backed by data and contribute to post-initiative reviews.

  • Contribute to forecasting processes, ensuring sales and cost data reflect current performance.

  • Assist in managing the Cost of Sales process to ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Participate in monthly reporting by helping explain performance trends and contributing to commentary.

  • Take part in ad hoc analysis and cross-functional projects as needed.

  • Contribute to improving existing processes and reporting methods through new ideas and approaches.


2nd and 3rd Rotation will be confirmed nearer the end of the first rotation, once the Analyst has had experience within the Finance setting.

To be considered for our Graduate role you will have:


  • A 2.1 degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business

  • Study Support offered towards an Accounting Qualification

  • Strong IT Skills, including advanced Excel

  • An interest in Business Partnering, with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders

  • Curiosity about the "why" behind the numbers

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise as required, and manage stakeholder expectations accordingly

  • Great attention to detail
