Job description

As a graduate it is anticipated you will have limited experience of working as an Estates Surveyor, but you will be expected to take a wide variety of appropriate caseload of work on with support and guidance from colleagues in order to develop your knowledge, understanding and experience.

  • Working collaboratively within a team of property professionals to deliver high quality, client focussed estates and valuation services protecting the Council's interests and delivering its objectives.
  • Carry out a wide-ranging surveying services on a varied portfolio of commercial, residential and specialised premises, schools, and other public buildings and land.
  • Carry out day-to-day estate management duties on both vacant and occupied properties including property inspections, rent collection/debt recovery, lease compliance, consents to assign/underlet/improve etc., tenant vacations, dilapidations, encroachments, service charge management and responding to general land and property enquiries and complaints.

    Relevant RICS accredited Estate Management degree (or an appropriate equivalent qualification).

  • Sound understanding of the importance of RICS standards and guidance and pratice.
  • Good knowedge of the Landlord & Tenant Act, 1954 and other property related legislation.
