Job summary

Overview

Our client, a social housing provider based in Bath, is currently recruiting for a Governance Manager on a 12 month fixed-term contract.

The position is due to start in the New Year on a full-time basis, and they are looking for someone to attend office a minimum of once per week. The salary on offer is circa £50,000 per annum.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least two years governance experience in a regulated environment, and experience providing executive and secretariat support at board level.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as a key point of contact for Board and Committee members
  • Managing and developing the Governance Assistant and the Executive Assistant(s), fostering a culture of high standards, accountability and continuous improvement, ensuring that the Board and Committees are properly serviced
  • Preparing reports on governance and other matters as requested by the Assistant Director of Governance and the General Counsel & Group Company Secretary
  • Acting as Secretary to key governance forums, including the Combined Board and / or subsidiary boards, and Committees of the Board, ensuring timely, accurate and well-structured papers and minutes
