Job summary

An independent clinic in the UK is seeking a GMC Registered Doctor ASD Assessor to contribute specialist diagnostic expertise within a structured CAMHS pathway. This role focuses on quality assessment rather than volume-driven work, allowing for meaningful contributions to the evaluation of NHS referred children and young people. Candidates must have experience in neurodevelopmental assessments and familiarity with NHS frameworks. Competitive hourly rates are offered, and hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

  • GMC registered Doctor with experience in neurodevelopmental assessment.
  • Proven involvement in ASD diagnostic work within CAMHS or equivalent settings.
  • Familiarity with NHS RtC frameworks and MDT diagnostic processes.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to ASD diagnostic pathways through structured assessment delivery.
  • Complete ADOS and or ADI-R assessments in line with NICE guidance.
  • Provide clear clinical input and report inserts to support MDT diagnostic conclusions.

Skills

This GMC Registered Doctor ASD Assessor role is suited to clinicians who want to contribute specialist diagnostic expertise within a structured CAMHS RtC pathway, without carrying full report ownership. Your assessments will directly inform MDT decision making for NHS referred children and young people.

The role offers clearly defined clinical input, strong governance, and the ability to focus on assessment quality rather than volume-driven work.

Package & Benefits
  • Hourly rate, to be confirmed.
  • Outside IR35 engagement.
  • Face to face assessment delivery, with hybrid ADI-R where appropriate.
