Job summary

A large international organisation in Bristol is seeking a Financial Accountant to support various accounting processes. This position requires an analytical and detail-focused individual with solid accounting experience and skills in Excel. You will work closely with offshore teams and stakeholders to ensure high-quality outputs. The role offers a salary between £40,000 and £45,000, with a hybrid working pattern and excellent development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in an accounting role, ideally within a large or multinational organisation.
  • Progress towards a professional qualification with no more than four exams remaining.
  • Strong skills in reviewing reconciliations and producing calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end activities and review outputs from offshore colleagues.
  • Prepare journals and accounting entries in line with month-end timetables.
  • Complete reconciliations across intercompany, fixed assets, and bank accounts.
  • Produce initial P and L reviews and highlight anomalies.
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity and escalate issues promptly.
  • Support process documentation aligning with global standards.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
