A leading agricultural technology provider is currently seeking a Glasshouse Technician based at an International Research Centre in Bracknell, UK. This role offers a 6-month contract with a possibility of extension. Responsibilities include operating equipment for trial work, resolving routine issues, and ensuring timely delivery of samples. Candidates should have experience in horticulture or agriculture and be comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

Overview

NES Fircroft is currently recruiting a Glasshouse Technician on behalf of our client, a Global name in the Agricultural Technology industry. The role will be based at a world leading International Research Centre at Jealott's Hill, Bracknell. This is a contract position for an initial 6 month duration with the possibility of long-term extension. Mon-Fri 36hrs per week.

Responsibilities
  • Follows broad frameworks to operate equipment needed to carry out trial work, and to ensure samples are available and delivered on time.
  • Resolves routine issues with minimal senior staff or supervisory guidance and approval.
  • Requires some prior relevant experience.
Qualifications / Education & Experience
  • Experience working within a horticultural or an agricultural production environment.
  • Awareness of growth and care requirements of plant material in the glasshouse.
  • Solid experience in computer usage (particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel applications).
