A leading environmental consultancy is expanding its geophysical survey team in Sheffield. They are seeking Geophysical Survey Operatives and Supervisors to manage fieldwork, data processing, and guide junior staff. Candidates should have relevant degrees, with Supervisors needing at least 2 years' experience. Excellent benefits include salary reviews, pension plans, and training opportunities. The positions involve outdoor work in varying weather and a commitment to diversity and support in the workplace.
Due to the recent success of Cura Terrae Land and Nature, formerly Ecus, in the geophysical survey team, and several larger tender awards, there is capacity to expand our geophysical survey team.

As a Geophysical Survey Operative, you will be responsible for undertaking day‑to‑day activities on site for our geophysical survey projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the survey fieldwork data yield is at the required rate for the site on a project‑by‑project basis using our bespoke in‑house hand‑pushed or quad‑towed cart‑based system.
Supervisors are responsible for leading strategies during fieldwork, including larger and sometimes complex projects. Survey sizes currently vary from smaller 1 – 2‑hectare sites, up to 300 hectares. You will also be assigned to data processing, interpretation, and reporting works as and when required. Additionally, you will play an integral role in training junior staff.
Our Assistants will be responsible for undertaking geophysical survey work alongside supervisors.
These are excellent opportunities for anyone looking to expand your knowledge of the work undertaken at Land and Nature, improve and develop your skillset and be part of an excellent and growing team.
