A healthcare provider in Burley in Wharfedale is looking for a General Practice Nurse. We are looking for a general practice nurse for a semi-rural, patient-centred family practice in Burley in Wharfedale where we offer high-quality care to our community. We have 7,100 patients and are steadily growing with the addition of new housing in the village.
This role has potential for your own professional growth as we want someone well rounded who wants to keep learning with us. We will put you through additional training courses and support your learning.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, approximately 25 hours per week with a view to more hours over the next 12 months. You must be able to work until 5pm at least once or twice per week.
We are a three-partner general practice, serving a stable village community of 7,100 patients. We pride ourselves on providing a traditional family practice and work closely as a team to provide continuity of care. We are committed to training future General Practitioners.
Our clinical team includes 3 GP Partners, salaried GPs and our nursing team consists of a Practice Nurse, Health Care Assistant and Phlebotomist. All are supported by our hardworking Managers, reception and administrative teams.
To implement processes for the effective management of patients with long-term conditions using evidence-based practice, including care for elderly and housebound patients.
Working as a senior member of the practice multidisciplinary team, the post holder will ensure nursing services are delivered effectively to the entitled patient population.
The Practice Nurse will be responsible for a number of clinical areas such as infection prevention and control, health promotion, chronic disease management, well-woman and well-man clinics, and actively supporting the practice management team in reviewing and delivering clinical policy and procedure.
To provide general advice and support on a day-to-day basis.
Salary: £16.91 to £21.50 per hour, depending on experience
