Job Title: General Manager

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire

Salary: Up to £75,000 + performance-based bonus

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, day time

About the role:

An established business in the manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee operations, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and drive productivity and growth. This is a hands‑on leadership role that requires flexibility and a practical approach. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable engaging in day‑to‑day operational and administrative tasks as well as performing higher‑level strategic planning and analysis. You'll be expected to lead by example – stepping in to support the team when needed, while maintaining a clear focus on business improvement, performance, and long‑term goals. This role is ideal for a results‑oriented leader with a background in production, manufacturing, or other process‑driven industries who thrives on developing teams and optimising performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day‑to‑day operations across production, logistics, and support functions.
  • Lead and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence and meet key performance targets.
  • Drive efficiency, quality, and cost improvements through effective process management.
  • Oversee resource planning and performance metrics.
