General Manager, CDJ Restaurant Lower Darwen. Salary £36,000-£40,000

Here at CDJ Riverside, history intertwines seamlessly with modern sophistication, offering a dining experience that is both timeless and captivating.

Originally known as The Swan, our buildings story dates back to Lower Darwen Village on Fore Street. Although the original structure met its end in the early 1900s.

In more recent years the building gained prominence as Uncle Jacks a beloved destination for locals, Blackburn Rovers fans and visiting Football aficionados.

It is now home to CDJ Riverside, a 2AA Rosette restaurant, nestled on the banks of The River Darwen.

What Are We Looking For In A General Manager

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive background in restaurant management, with extensive experience of working in high end restaurants.

We are looking for someone who brings a relaxed, informal and engaging service style. Who is happy to chat with customers enthusing over the days menu and sharing their genuine passion for all things food and wine.

They will be able to develop and deliver a unique understanding of our core culture and values of purpose and simplicity and nose to tail dining.

The role reports directly to the owners / directors of the restaurant.

Duties and Responsibilities As A General Manager

Experience as a General Manager in high end, fast paced, high-volume sites.

A strong passion for delivering excellent food and customer service with the ability to inspire others with their energy.

Good leadership, engagement and people management skills.

An open, engaging and friendly personality with the confidence to lead CDJ Riverside philosophy and brand image with your team and guests.

Commercially savvy with a proven track record of successfully managing P&L to drive both revenue and sales plus budget management experience.

Proven experience in training and successfully developing and inspiring talent across all levels of the team.

Excellent attention to detail, calm under pressure and resilient.
