Overview

Are you a dedicated and experienced educator with a passion for helping young minds thrive? We have an opportunity to join our team as a tutor in Lytham St Annes. The successful tutor will create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 pupils’ education and boost engagement and attainment levels. Prospero is committed to raising the standard of support for vulnerable young people throughout the UK, and we are seeking a passionate, creative and holistic tutor to provide academic support and guidance in one-on-one or small-group settings.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 education.
  • Plan and deliver engaging tutoring sessions to improve engagement and attainment for vulnerable, disengaged or at-risk students.
  • Provide academic support and guidance in line with individual student needs, in a one-on-one or small-group setting.

Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
  • Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
  • Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
Eligibility
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate with online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
