About the role

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals with the ability to inspire, so that students studying on our GCSE Maths courses have a memorable learning experience. This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning. Alternatively, this could be an ideal development opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or Maths graduate looking to get into teaching. This is a permanent, part‑time role (FTE 0.50) working 18.5 hours per week based at our Banbury campus.

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement. Understanding the importance of tailoring our teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners. It's essential to use strategies that promote engagement, accommodate diverse learning styles, and build a strong foundation for academic growth. Previous teaching experience in the FE sector would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our Maths courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • A level 3 qualification in Maths or a related subject
  • A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK; we do not sponsor work permits. Work permits from other organisations are unacceptable as proof of right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners
  • Approach to teaching that promotes engagement and accommodates diverse learning styles
