A housing services provider in Caerphilly is seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to ensure safe and compliant gas systems across its properties. You will perform installations, diagnostics, and safety inspections, prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction. The position includes a full-time contract with benefits such as a company vehicle and annual leave. Ideal candidates hold a City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification and have experience in domestic gas work. Interested applicants must also be available for out-of-hours on-call duties.
Annual salary: up to £36,986.95

Contract Type: Full time – Permanent, 42.5hrs per week, Monday to Friday
We’re looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Gas Engineer to join our team in Caerphilly, delivering high-quality gas servicing, repairs, and installations across our clients’ housing stock. Your role will be vital in ensuring that all gas appliances and systems are safe, compliant, and fit for continued use.
You’ll carry out a range of domestic gas works including boiler diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and installations. Accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential, as your work directly impacts the wellbeing of residents, staff, and the wider public. You’ll be expected to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance at all times.
There will be an expectation of being included in the out of hours rota, this will be once every 9 days. The OOH shift will start around 6pm and you will be on call until 8am the following morning. There is a salary uplift on OOH, and any works completed after the hours of 4am will not be required to work the next day. If finishing before 3am, you will be expected to come in for the afternoon of the following day. Further details to be discussed at interview.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21, have held your licence for more than 3 months, and have less than 9 points.
