Overview

Are you a qualified Gas Engineer based in Bury St Edmunds? Do you have experience in servicing and repairing domestic heating systems?

If so, we'd love to hear from you! We're currently seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team.

This role offers a competitive basic salary ranging from £41,000 to £44,000, with additional earnings available through performance bonuses and call-out payments. While experience with Oil Boilers and Air Source Heat Pumps is beneficial, it's not essential for this position.

Your Role
  • Undertake the servicing, repairing & maintenance of Domestic heating systems
  • Complete works in accordance with specification and gas safe regulations
  • Completion of all relevant paperwork
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and safety
  • Participate in out of hour's works, including overtime and call out
  • Work to operational procedures, safe working practices and H&S procedures
  • Reporting of all accidents, near miss events or potential hazards
  • Undertake all other maintenance works within remit
  • Work flexibly with a diverse range of customers
What We Need from You
  • ACS qualifications: CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT
  • LPG Gas Qualifications (desirable)
  • G3 unvented cylinder qualifications (desirable)
  • Air Source Training (beneficial but not essential)
  • A full UK driving license
  • Ability to undertake out of hours works, including overtime and call out
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude towards varied work and schedules
  • Excellent customer service skills with experience working with the public
  • A solid understanding of gas legislation and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices and working to best standards
  • Ability to manage your time and workload independently
  • Recognised formal qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) (desirable)
  • Additional qualifications (LPG) are desirable
