Job summary

About the role

We exist to enhance cancer services and improve lives in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales. We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and driven people to join our growing fundraising team. Our Fundraisers need to build successful relationships and be motivated to make a real difference to their local community through their fundraising efforts. They will be confident, engaging and able to communicate our message to a wide range of people. They will be resourceful and able to identify opportunities, getting people involved in a way that suits them and adds real value to our cause.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a 2 WTE Fundraising team with potential part‑time or job share arrangements.
  • Manage and develop the Corporate side – working with business around the region to build long‑term charitable partnerships, engaging them in supporting events and involving their teams in volunteering opportunities. This role may be based at either the Shrewsbury or Telford office.
  • Manage and develop the Community side – support community fundraising and ensure a brilliant experience for supporters across the region, focusing on building support in Telford & Wrekin and based primarily in the Telford office.
  • Drive significant travel to visit supporters and potential donors.
  • Contribute to the Sunflower Appeal, which launched in June 2025 and aims to raise £5 million by 2029 to open a new cancer centre at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
