Job summary

A leading prison education provider is seeking a dedicated functional skills English & Maths teacher at HMP Hull, in West Carr, England. This permanent full-time position involves 37 hours of work a week. You will be responsible for creating vibrant learning environments and ensuring students achieve their full potential. Job description

We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Hull, working as a functional skills English & Maths teacher. This role is offered on a permanent full‑time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Teaching Qualifications & Requirements

• Teaching qualification and where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months
• Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
• Minimum L5 teaching qualification
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or commit to work towards within a specified timeframe (Applies to Teachers in YOI only)
• Creating stimulating, vibrant environments which are conducive to learning and motivational for learners
• Achievement of quality targets
• Producing accurate and timely reports
